The past week I have been bunked up in Hidden Hills in Los Angeles and getting some good riding done in the warmer weather here. I only have about a week left in the USA and it has been hectic. I have been frantically packing my stuff and cannot wait to get back home to Australia to be with my family again.
I am off to Las Vegas tomorrow to watch the Oscar Delahoya title fight and also to run the Las Vegas Half marathon on sunday morning. I am then flying into New York for a media launch for the new Under Armour shoe which will be absolutely unreal. I am really looking forward to the next week as I have so much exciting stuff on the agenda. Oscar Delahoya is one of my sporting idols, so watching him fight will be a real buzz. Again my friends at the Wynn Casino have come up trumps and have snagged some awesome tickets. I am looking forward to catching up with my close friends and enjoying a great run post the fight action on sunday morning.
I recently snapped a photo of my two favourite modes of transport. My Specialized Tarmac SL2 Pro has been my training bike for the past month or so and I absolutely love it. I am riding Sram Red and it is so light and responsive. I am absolutely estatic with my set up at the moment and bouncing over the climbs here in the Santa Monica ranges has been an absolute pleasure on this bike.
The car pictured here is my close friends, Ferrari 360 Spider. Alongside it is my Specialized Tarmac SL2 Pro also in black. I have been clocking some solid miles on the Specialized and decided to give the Ferrari a run aswell. I gave the Spider a solid run up the canyons here in Malibu and it drove amazingly. Anyone who knows these canyons here would understand if their is any car that was built for driving here, it is the 360 Spider. It drives a treat and sticks to the road on the tight switchback turns like its on rails. It was cool to give it a hard run and hit the corners at solid speed. I loved every minute of it. I must admit the Specialized is a little cheaper mode of transport than the Ferrari but they both ride beautifully.
I snapped this photo as we backed the car out before my ride yesterday. I really liked the shot as they both look pretty cool. Anyway I better get back to packing and sorting my stuff before flying into Vegas tomorrow. I will grab some great shots from the fight and upload onto my website here. I will blog again from Las Vegas.
Safe Training everyone
